Amsterdam Kings Day 2026

While visiting Amsterdam, I was walking through orange crowds of people celebrating Kings Day.
The air smelled of delicious food and DJs were playing fresh teckno sets on street corners (also through opened windows with speakers hanging out) and ecstatic people dancing to the music.
It felt great preserving this excitement with a camera and just being there.

And the canals were full of boats, each one hosting a cheering crowd of party people, which was a spectacle while standing on a bridge and waiting for them to come out on the other side. Everybody was so friendly and welcoming and remembering those moments still makes me smile.
