Polypainting in zbrush



notes for Polypainting in zbrush:

filling object with base color

left panel -> Materials -> skin shade 4 then choose a skin color in color picker top -> Mrgb disable Zadd and Zsub (so we're only painting color) top menubar color -> fill object

painting parts from scratch

select a new color in color picker top: check Mrgb uncheck Zadd and Zsub select brush standard

color picker

click into color picker and drag square anywhere hold alt to get exact value!

adding layers

tool (right) -> layers click on big square (plus) to create a layer then paint when done click bake button

blend colors

hold shift to blend (Attention: shift has it's own settings, to make sure Zadd and Zsub are deaktivated and Mrgb is enabled)

stroke

spray alpha: 8

subdivide if object has not enough polys

tool (right) -> geometry -> click subdiv button

draw circle

stroke: dragRect alpha: alpha14 adjust Intensity and Focal Shift to get more contrast
